It is an honor and pleasure to write a few lines on welcome notes for Catalysis 2022. On behalf of the whole organizing committee, I warmly welcome all the delegates attending this congress meeting and thank them all for their active participation. Research in the field of Catalysis under Materials Chemistry has witnessed an exponential growth throughout the globe and the potential of its manifestation has been observed by 13th International Conference on Catalysis and Chemical Engineering during October 21-22, 2022 by gathering renowned scientists under one roof. The overall goal of the congress is to exchange breakthrough ideas in the field of Nanocatalysis to promote top level research by focusing on the recent trends as well as future prospects. Dear Speakers,

I wish to express my appreciation for the invitation as a Keynote Speaker of Catalysis 2022 Conference. I really appreciate to Committee Member and all attendees in the Conference. As a means of addressing global warming, the world is increasingly turning to the use of Li-ion batteries in electric vehicles and as storage batteries in the home; therefore, there is a growing need for Li. Li, one of the 31 rare metal elements among the 112 known elements, is fast becoming a valuable commodity, and Li procurement is a national policy issue worldwide. I propose new method for Li recovering from used Li-ion batteries, seawater and brine water by using Li separation method by ionic conductor; LiSMIC. To cut the greenhouse gas emissions, we have to realize the stable supply of Li. I believe we can overcome many difficulties with international cooperation. I will continue to make a contribution to the field of the lithium supply.

It is my great pleasure and privilege to welcome you to the "13th Edition of International Conference on Catalysis, Chemical Engineering and Technology (Catalysis 2022)’. Photocatalysis and photosynthesis in an artificial system offer an opportunity for producing renewable energy to replace fossil fuels. Photocatalysis has become one of the key areas within the catalysis field. Since it adds just another feature to the already rather complex mechanism of heterogeneous catalysis, that is, the interaction with photons required to initiate the overall process, there is still a large number of unknowns regarding details of the underlying reaction mechanism(s).  On the other hand, an in-depth comprehension of charge carrier dynamics helps to ascertain the elements determining the carrier utilization efficiency, which is also crucial for the rational design of ideal photocatalyst systems.

It is my honor to welcome you to this year’s CAT Global Conference. Catalysis plays a leading role in the Chemistry and Chemical Engineering disciplines. The impact of catalysis in modern industrial processes remains unparalleled. However, a historical overview on the catalysis field proves that the progress which has been made in catalysis did not keep up with a comprehensive understanding and a complete interpretation of its phenomenon. To that end, modeling and simulation of complicated catalytic chemical reactions contribute indeed in better studying and analyzing catalytic mechanisms. It is my honor and great pleasure to write a few welcome notes to you. Through centuries people were fascinated with the possibilities of synthesis of new materials with extraordinary properties. New materials are practically needed in all domains of life. Design and synthesis of new materials is one of the most important and interesting part of material sciences. Particularly a synthesis of new active and selective catalysts is a very important challenge. Our main aim concentrates on the new methods of the synthesis of single-site  hierarchical  porous zeolite catalysts with  acid-base and redox properties. Such zeolite catalysts with active sites formed by incorporation of heteroelements in  their framework are  perspective  as  catalysts of protection  of environment and  biofeedstock conversion into valuable chemicals.

It is only recently that I ventured into this field, hoping to make a small contribution to the research from a different perspective. I am sure my experience is not necessarily common but definitely not unique. This highlights the multi- and inter-disciplinary nature and very broad scope of catalysis and chemical engineering. The conference will provide all participants, including experts and novices like me, a catalytic opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from each other and initiate collaborations.
