Biography:
Prof. Holger Braunschweig is Chair and Head of Inorganic Chemistry at the Julius-MaximiliansUniversität Würzburg, where is also member of the Senate and Founding Director of the Institute for Sustainable Chemistry & Catalysis with Boron (ICB). Braunschweig’s research in the field of boron and main group chemistry has been published in over 500 publications. In 2009 Braunschweig was awarded the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz award of the DFG – the highest German-based research prize. He is a member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences, the German National Academy of Sciences (Leopoldina), and the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences.
